Buffer Stop Books, Wroxham | Bure Valley Railway

A trip to Bure Valley Railway in Wroxham isn’t complete without a visit to Buffer Stop Books, our volunteer-run second-hand bookshop right on the station platform.

With more than 5,000 pre-owned books, plus a wide selection of vinyl records, CDs, DVDs, jigsaws, and railway magazines, there’s always something to browse before or after your steam train journey.

Run entirely by volunteers, every purchase directly supports projects that preserve and improve the railway for future generations.

Donations Welcome

We also welcome donations of books, jigsaws, CDs, DVDs, and railway magazines. (Please, no bric-a-brac or video tapes.) Preferred days for donations are Wednesdays and Fridays at Wroxham Station.
