Father’s Day at the Bure Valley Railway

There was plenty of excitement last weekend as our very own No. 1 Wroxham Broad took a trip down south to visit the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway for their popular Autumn Gala.

2025 marks a remarkable milestone - 200 years since the world’s first steam-hauled public railway opened in the world. The Stockton & Darlington Railway, launched in 1825, transformed travel forever and sparked the railway revolution that shaped our towns, industries and imaginations.

This December, we’re bringing festive magic to the rails with something for everyone — families can enjoy the Festive Express, a joyful experience complete with a steam train ride, Santa’s grotto and personalised gifts for the children.
