Meet the Team
As a not-for-profit organisation, Bure Valley Railway relies on the passion and dedication of a small team of staff and volunteers to keep the railway running and thriving. At the heart of the team are Andrew and Susan, the duo head up the management of the railway. Together, they lead with a shared commitment to preserving the line’s heritage and delivering a warm, memorable experience for every visitor.

Andrew
A lifelong railway enthusiast, Andrew began volunteering at Bure Valley Railway early on, after being drawn to the charm of the Norfolk line. His passion soon led him to leave his London career to join full-time, helping shape the railway into the much-loved attraction it is today.
-
Susan
Working alongside Andrew, Susan plays a vital role in the day-to-day management of the railway. Together, they bring energy, experience, and a shared love of heritage railways to the organisation, ensuring every visitor enjoys a memorable day out.
