Dog friendly
At Bure Valley Railway, we believe days out are better when the whole family comes along – and that includes your four-legged friends! If you’re searching for dog-friendly attractions in Norfolk, you’ll be glad to know that dogs are warmly welcomed on our trains, stations, shop, and in our café.
Dog-friendly Trains
Well-behaved dogs are welcome to travel on all our timetabled service trains, making Bure Valley Railway one of the best options for dog-friendly train journeys in Norfolk. To ensure comfort for everyone, we kindly ask that dogs are kept on leads and travel in the same compartment as their owners. Additional space cannot be reserved for dogs. Check ticket prices for furry friends.
Please note: During certain special events, only assistance dogs are permitted. We recommend checking in advance before planning your visit.
Dog-Friendly Walks
Running alongside our nine-mile heritage railway is the Bure Valley Path owned by the council - perfect for stretching paws and legs alike.
It’s a great way to combine a dog-friendly day out in Norfolk with a ride on a heritage steam train. During peak season, you can request to stop at any of the on-route station stops to explore.
Dog-friendly Café
Our Whistlestop Café is fully dog-friendly, so you don’t need to leave your furry friend behind when stopping for refreshments. We also provide fresh water bowls for dogs in public areas, making sure they feel just as welcome as their humans.
