No.3 - 2nd Air Division USAAF

Built in 1988 and styled after the BR Hymec class, Locomotive No. 3 is a key member of the Bure Valley Railway’s diesel fleet. Renamed in 1998 to honour the 2nd Air Division USAAF of WWII, it combines distinctive design with reliable service, hauling passenger trains and supporting operations across the line.

No.4 - Hudson Hunslet 0-4-0 Diesel Shunter

Built in 1954 by Hudson-Hunslet and later rebuilt by the Friends of the Bure Valley Railway, Locomotive No. 4 is a versatile diesel shunter. Entering service in 2004, it now works mainly at Aylsham Station, handling shunting duties and assisting with maintenance across the line.

No.5 - Lister Diesel Mechanical

Built in 1922 to haul peat in Somerset, Locomotive No. 5 was later converted to 15-inch gauge for the Bure Valley Railway. Overhauled in 2016, this distinctive tram-style diesel is now a valued member of the fleet. It continues to provide reliable service on light duties and special occasions.
